These one of kind Redwood boards have a long standing history (pun intended). In the 1960's, when a local utility company needed to construct a water pipe, they used the most hardy wood specie available: Redwood.
After 50+ years of faithful service, these 2"+x5"+ boards have been reclaimed and are ready to be made into that one of kind accent for your home. One side features a rustic scale created by years of water flowing over the wood. The other side still has marks from the bands that held the pipe together, and a light finish, we assume, is from mineral deposits. A small sample of the wood was surfaced (see picture) and revealed a clear, mostly knot free wood. Boards are random length, varying from 4'-16'.
